This blog has been created as a place to publish and share the private love letters written by my grandpa, Herbert to his fiancee, Miss Euphemia Kinnell in 1925-1927.
They apparently became acquainted while working in Heilbron in the Free State and then Herbert moved back to his hometown, Queenstown to take up a position in the family business.
These letters were mainly written during the year or so that they were separated while planning, preparing and saving up for their wedding.
